Americana Honors & Awards Broadcast on AXS TV on Sunday, December 16

AXS TV will broadcast the Americana Honors & Awards program, a two-hour special dedicated to celebrating roots music, at 8:00PM ET / 5:00PM on Sunday December 16.  The program will be rebroadcast later in the evening at 12:20AM ET / 9:20 PM PT.

The Americana Honors & Awards, described by Paste Magazine as “the best awards show in the world,” honors Bonnie Raitt, Booker T. Jones, Richard Thompson and many more. Performances throughout the night will feature, in addition to the aforementioned honorees, Guy Clark, John Hiatt, the Mavericks and new Americana torchbearers Alabama Shakes, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Justin Townes Earle, Sarah Jarosz, Robert Ellis and theDeep Dark Woods. The finale of the program remembers legendary Americana trailblazer, Levon Helm, with a special all-star tribute.  The show is hosted by Jim Lauderdale with Buddy Miller leading an all-star house band.  

Sarah performs her Americana-nominated song "Come Around" with Nathaniel Smith on the program.
